Soulful Ray Re-Brand
This one is for the loyal ones- the ones that have been here since day one. In my first blog post, I shared how this company came about in the first place. It has grown to be my true passion project— something that I hold dear to my heart. But I will be perfectly honest in saying that I am self-taught. That being said, I don’t have others assisting me in regards to website design, marketing, etc. And frankly, it has caught up to me. I have been forced to take a closer look at my finances, my advertising, the quality of my product— and I have decided to make some changes. So with that, you will still see Soulful Ray going strong, hopefully better than ever! But there are a few details you will see progress.

1. Product Quality- I have always been one for a deal. And I wanted Soulful Ray to be that spot where you can seize a good one. But I also don’t want my quality to suffer in that process. Up until this point, I would buy my beads mainly at box stores where I didn’t know the quality. I would dream up an idea and go straight to the store to make it happen. But the problem with this is that production wasn’t as fast as it should be, and I couldn’t seem to replicate my designs the way I wanted to. Worst of all, it meant lack of quality. The gold beads would tarnish after wash, beads would begin to fade, and the pieces just weren’t holding up. So, with lots of research, I have found various wholesale retailers that I now do all my purchasing from. I have chosen to go with gold-filled charms, rather than gold-plated, authentic gemstone beads instead of replicates, and chain that won’t tarnish after use. With these changes, I believe that the Soulful Ray product will be something you will cherish for a very long time.
2. Raised Prices- With quality, comes a cost. Because I am choosing to amp up my game in terms of quality, I will be raising my prices. I will still offer some “budget buys” and sales, but I want to stress the idea that a Soulful Ray piece is an item that can withstand seasons and not just be a quick fad.
3. Collections- I have done collections to date, but I was never the best at marketing those collections. Perhaps you would see one post on a new collection, and the next day I would throw another one at you before you could get acquainted to the original. Now, I plan on releasing new collections every few weeks. My social media platforms will highlight those collections one at a time, so that you can really grasp the entirety of the line/product. My hope in doing this is to relieve some pressure and get rid of that feeling you have when you open up a Cheesecake Factory menu. I want the collections to be precise and easy to follow.

4. Marketing Amp-Up- I am excited to announce that I will have some fun marketing strategies coming your way, and I can’t wait for you to see!
